I am a registered clinical dietitian, researcher, strategic consultant, and speaker. My PhD project at Amsterdam UMC focused on evaluating the impact of a lifestyle program, based on a whole food plant-based diet, physical activity, and stress- and sleep management, on people with arthritis at Reade Rehabilitation & Rheumatology in Amsterdam. The program showed to be effective for rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. I'm excited that this lifestyle program is now set to be launched! The growing scientific evidence supporting the positive effects of whole food plant-based diets, physical activity, stress management, and sleep improvement underscores the urgency of adopting these practices.
