Currently semi retired. I was working as an Asset Management Specialist/Digital Content Specialist. (My position ended in January 2021 as GT was going through a transition). I will be looking for part time work Mid January/Late January.I was working in a huge database, collecting images in various sizes and formats, logos, icons and copy content for eCommerce SKUs. Close cropping images, colour correcting images, retouching images, etc. Manage access level of all Product Information Management System users including employees, vendors and freelancers.Skills in various applications including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, various Emails, FTP, and other communication/transfer software for archiving and restoring. Ability to utilize new software with minimal prior exposure.Specialties: Client focused, very service oriented and knowledgable in the production pre press side. Have an "eye for detail". Very organized and a self starter. Experience in ISO, Quality Assurance, Process Improvement, Health and Safety and QC.Started my career in 1987 with Bergman Graphics in the Pre Press Dark Room before deciding to take an apprenticeship in pre-press film stripping. Served a 3-year apprenticeship as a litho film stripper, then promoted to Journeyman status. Kept up with changes in the industry and started QC on jobs going to client/press. Developed an eye for detail. Eventually became an image editor, close cropping and retouching images. Excellent understanding of various image file formats. Moved from Image Edit dept to Content dept working within a Huge database program called "Fluuid" for a very Large Client. All the while doing QC for various accounts. Plus, training and working on various accounts within Content, using various data bases including "The Vault". In the Product Information Management System, I am Managing the database of Images, Copy (English and French), You Tube Linked Videos, Documents, pdf files, Logos and Icons. Manage and maintain the correct set of attributes for each category in the Product Information Management (PIM) System to ensure customers navigate the website effectively. I am responsible for sourcing, proofing images and product information from vendors and communicating with internal customers to effectively support product content requirements and priorities. I educate stakeholders on best practices based on standard content guidelines. Managing multiple merchandising categories, each day is fast-paced, challenging, rewarding and meaningful.Have a passion for anything PrePress!
