This data was used to create an end-to-end model for trade-off analysis between the costs of transportation and material in positioning $1.2 million dollars of repair parts to maximize operational effectiveness. Transportation Optimization - Improved intra-theater lift and decreased transportation cost with analysis to justify reducing Air Force transportation airlift by four aircraft. Developed analysis methodology to use RFID tag data to create distribution network models of Iraq and Afghanistan and reduce transportation times by 6%. Fuel Use Minimization - Implemented a supply ship scheduling optimization program that minimized fuel use and reduced staff planning time by 85% over manual methods. Change Management - Produced three business transition plans to process map and identify potential issues implementing the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning system. These plans ensured a smooth transition for all Navy inventory (over 800,000 parts worth over $23 billion dollars) in the areas of forecasting, inventory levels setting and inventory plant management.
