Consulting Engineer Iii
As Consulting Engineer, Mr. Drosjack is responsible for the design of several utility systems which include the Instrument Air System, the Air Sampling System, the Breathing Air System and the Regeneration Gas Systems for the Uranium Processing Facility at NNSA’s Y-12 Plant. In addition, he provided technical review and consultation of other utility system designs. He developed a data base that statistically evaluated usage demands of more than 2200 users that was the basis of sizing the Instrument Air System compressors and dryers. Also developed the design of critical flow venturi nozzles for use in the Air Sampling System (at low flow rates) in lieu of rotometers which improved system stability and eliminated operator intervention to adjust the sampling air flow.

He led the design of components for the feed preparation system of the Japanese Nuclear Fuels Services vitrification process to solidify high-level radioactive waste. He was responsible for providing engineering consultation and design support for radioactive waste processing operations at the SEG facilities and container manufacturing operations at SEG Advanced Systems Division. Containers were manufactured for use in transportation and storage of radioactive and hazardous waste and warfare chemical destruction processing operations. Mr. Drosjack also provided engineering consultation to the Yucca Mountain Project (SAIC/DOE) for the preparation of the Waste Packaging Strategy Document.
