DC Controller for Denmark - The role covers the monthly accounting for the Denmark Company, inclusive of all profit forecasts, Balance sheet analysis, tax preparation, audit files, and liaising with both local and external staff/advisors.

Role has changed over the period as company has brought the role in-house.2004-2016The initial role acting as liaison with BDO/EY to complete 17 Black & Decker UK company accounts plus Black & Decker International Group accounts. The group accounts comprised the 17 companies above plus 45 subsidiary companies (multi-currency conversion). This involved research into the history of the companies, sourcing data, analyzing and presenting data for audit. From 2005 I was given the task of bringing the accounts in-house and organise for audit. Included in the companies were calculations for research & development (HMRC moved to a refunds system), revenue analysis and review, fixed assets, derivative accounting, swap hedges and inter-company recharges, 2007-2012Due to internal changes, the team of 3 took on the vat role for the Black & Decker Sarl Company reporting, covering monthly reporting for Spain, Germany, France and Belgium plus intrastat reconciliation. My role related to analyzing data and submitting vat returns for Spain, Germany and France.2005-2016In 2005 the team took on the UK tax computational work for the 17 companies, using EY as reviewer, I was the main instigator for taking on the role, bringing the information quality of support of the computations to a new level, reducing the cost for the company and proving a seamless link with the tax director in Dublin and EY Bristol. My role was to ensure that all data required for the tax returns was made available, included in the returns and provided to EY and tax director for review, then to file with HMRC.2000-2016I am the accountant for Black & Decker (Overseas) GmbH, a Liechtenstein based company with branches in Dubai and Denmark.
