I’ve had the opportunity to work in the dialysis setting for about 7 years. My fathers side of the family is composed of a dialysis care staff around various associations. I naturally landed in a couple of companies such as Fresenius, DaVita, as well as experiencing emergency care dialysis through Trinity Health. My last position was at American Renal Associates. Although I resigned from dialysis, I still have the opportunity to do research studies for Field Work Boston. The last study I was a part of allowed me to give my thoughts on a couple of new dialysis prototypes as well.

3 Month orientation program.Cheryl Atamaniuk was my leading clinical educator.• Knowledge of electrocardiograms was a prerequisite for acceptance into this orientation.• Proper policy and procedure were taught. Infection control is one of the most important priorities inthe emergency department.• Basic skills such as blood pressure, pulse, blood oxygen levels, temperature checks, as well as blood culture draws were fulfilled by my role as a technician. Navigation of the Baystate Digital System.• Collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other clinical services asrequired by my clinical educator were performed.• I was also expected to verify the patient's height and patients current weight during the time ofadmission.• Admission rates were high during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a notable experience to be part of a healthcare team that worked together to properly care for the patients that arrived at the hospital. *I had the opportunity to approach different departments of the hospital and received a tour of the hospitals pharmaceutical department as well as the laboratory section where we drop off all the blood work from the emergency department.

I was able to experience the AAAI/ISMA in-person certification workshops and receive certification. AAAI/ISMA introduced me to the world of strength training.
