Conduct recruiting programs.Prepare and quality control of enlistment case files for commission and enlistment into the Air Guard. Develop and organize publicity programs to increase awareness of the Air Guard in the community. Develop community relations programs in order to establish contact with high schools, colleges, businesses, and industries within the State.Supervise recruiting activities within zone to develop and maintain market data and maintain recruiting goals. Recruit and retain the highest quality members of the Air Guard using executive strategies and objectives.Management and execution of incentive and benefit programs for the Colorado Air Guard.Analyze trends and statistics to determin necessary strategic actions.Develop and allocate advertising objectives with a goal of increasing recruiting and retention numbers.Provide training and management tools for the successful recruiting and retention programs within the CO Air Guard.Authorizing official for CO Air Guard recruiting and retention funds.

The recruiting and retention superintendent is the National Guard Bureau’s (NGBs) primary point of contact and principal advisor on all recruiting and retention issues affecting the State of Kentucky. Oversees development and implementation of all plans, policies, and procedures ensuring effective operation of State recruiting and retention programs in accordance with all applicable AFIs, program guidance and direction. Oversees recruiting operational matters and interprets recruiting and retention directives for assigned Kentucky Air National Guard. Provides supervision, counseling, performance appraisal, and training of recruiting and retention personnel as well as the selection, promotion, and discipline. Develops, executes, and facilitates a comprehensive State recruiting and retention plan to best use the resources provided by NGB A1Y. Develops and executes local enlisted accessions policies and procedures to ensure the State meets end-strength goals. Works with Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) to ensure proper coordination between the Air Force liaison, MEPS, and Air National Guard applicants. Develops and maintains production reports, retention reports, market data, production flow, and allocates recruiting and retention goals.
