After attending college, I was a substitute teacher in many school districts in the greater Glens Falls, NY, area, working per diem. I do not have teaching certification.I started at Tribune Media Services in 1984. The company had been in operation about 18 months at that point, and I started as a schedule editor. Within a year, I was the exclusive TV listings editor for the Philadelphia Inquirer, became scheduling supervisor, and then was laterally moved into the National Listings Department, where I gathered information for major American television networks and cable channels. In 1991, I began writing feature articles previewing television programming - particularly on PBS - and commenting on television-related issues.I left Tribune in 2003 to care for my sick wife and toddler son, and since then I have worked in retailing, telemarketing and as a teacher's aide. I have also beein involved in political activism, was a Democratic candidate for Glens Falls Common Council in 2005, and am active in Christ Church Methodist Episcopal in Glens Falls and have volunteered at the Open Door Soup Kitchen in Glens Falls.Specialties: Entertainment and political comment.
