Gaskin of USA, took office as the Managing Director in Charge of Operation Management Complex of Global Bank on July 16, 2014.Mr. Gaskin, as the Managing Director in charge of the Management Complex, Global Bank, is responsible for ensuring that the Bank’s internal operations, policies and systems are designed and implemented to maximize development activities in line with the commitment to make the Global Bank Group an open, results-based and effective organization. Mr. Gaskin’s core activities of the Management Complex are aimed at ensuring that Countries can access the best global economic expertise and help generate cutting-edge knowledge for promoting sustainable economic development. As Managing Director in Charge of the Management Complex, Mr. Gaskin also has responsibility for coordinating work on gender integration by promoting gender equality and empowerment of women conducting economic policy development. Under the direction of the Chairman of the Board of Governors, The Managing Director will work with countries to collect, analyze and distribute practical knowledge to boost sustainable economic development. The Managing Director in Charge of the Management Complex of the Bank Group also chairs the Committee on World Headquarters Capital Master Plan, provides assistance to the Chairman of the Board of Governors through advise and prepare recommendations for the Board of Governors on politically and diplomatically sensitive management issues and aspects, particularly during sessions of the Board of Governors and the General Conference. Additionally, he negotiates with the Senior Level and with Top-Level Representatives of the International Community, including the United Nations, Multilateral and Bilateral Development Banks and their Specialized Agencies and Representatives of Governments on all issues of overall importance to the management, institutional, regulatory and risk framework of the Bank Group.
