Hello! I'm Walter Long, a marketing student at The University of Texas at Dallas passionate about creativity and learning new things. I am set to graduate in December of 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a minor in Film Studies.I currently work at the YMCA of Greater Houston where I started as a lifeguard and Childwatch Counselor and eventually progress to Childwatch Lead Counselor by showing exceptional leadership and communication skills. In this position I am able to grow these skills and more such as problem-solving, teamwork, and collaboration skills. Previously, I had the opportunity to complete a 4 month marketing mentorship with The Clever Site. With The Clever Site, I established new client relationships by completing cold calls and emailing possible clients. My mentorship with Dr. Lemelle has also given me a better understanding of marketing strategies and business planning while growing skills such as time management and organization.In the future, I strongly hope to pursue a career in the film industry and open to many of the positions that the industry offers. With a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a minor in Film Studies, I hope to combine my passion for films with my desire for a position that allows me to express my creativity to create something that could help the world.
