The Project Management Agency – part of the German Aerospace Center - (PT-DLR) is a research funding organisation supporting the Federal Ministry of Education and Reserach (BMBF) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), along with other Federal Ministries, in the implementation of programme-related project funding. Bearing in mind the necessity and the importance of research and development for the science and business location Germany, the PT-DLR is committed to the interests of the community. It carries out the specifications of its principals competently and swiftly, thus supporting the acquisition and utilisation of scientific knowledge and technological progress.Our client, the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, Division VIB3 - "Development of digital technologies" promotes ICT research and development at the pre-competitive stage. The aim of our work is to help them pick up on key trends at an early stage and accelerate the process of transferring scientific findings into the development of marketable high-tech technologies. A major part of this work are technology screening and networking activities on the European level as well as globally.

I have interest and knowledge in a wide range of ICT topics (Systems software, Web services, Semantic technologies, business process modelling, Multimedia development etc.). Recently, I was with Big Data frameworks, Smart City Infrastructures and Cloud Computing technologies.I have experience in projects of various sizes, mostly with a technical, political and / or international background. This encompasses project development and acquisition, team management, project administration, risk management, project marketing, networking and evaluation. At Fraunhofer, I've been working in a number of interdisciplinary research projects for the German ministry for education and research as well as for the German ministry for economics and technology. For example, I could gain major experience in a support action project doing accompagnying research for the German flagship project THESEUS. These projects required a close cooperation with the social partners and large industry players of the respective brench. Furthermore, I worked as a consultant for SMEs from various brenches (ICT, training sector, insurance sector).I have published multiple scientific articles in books and journals and have been active as an editor of books and brochures, as a revisor for scientific journals and as a multimedia author. I am experienced in planning and organizing scientific meetings and congresses, on a national and international level. Furthermore, I have accompagnied students with their diploma thesis and mentored them when starting their professional career.Next to my business profile, I do have a broad scientific experience in educational sciences (early childhood, social pedagogy, adult education) My international and intercultural experience covers Europe, the U.S., Russia, Israel, Japan and other. Next to my mother tongue german, I do speak english and french.I am married and father of three children; our family lives in the south east of Berlin.

I had been seconded to the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy for 18 months. My focus there was on national programs on "Digital Identities" and international cooperation.

After a merger of Fraunhofer FOKUS, Fraunhofer FIRST and Fraunhofer ISST I continued my projects at Fraunhofer with the same colleagues, the same office, the same equipment, and the same high motivation as before..
