Responsible for the development and management of construction and commissioning sub-project schedules for $260,000,000 portion of work for Alstom Power, in association with a new WFGD Scrubber system at Duke Power’s Belews Creek station ($500,000,000 total value). This is being done as part of a consortium with Duke Power and Shaw / Stone & Webster. The project’s 10,000 activity resource and cost loaded schedule is being closely managed to ensure unit shutdown milestones are met, with critical path analysis and recovery planning taking place on a weekly basis. Baseline and target schedules have been developed to track approved change orders and site changes against original estimates and payment milestones. Also responsible for tracking and reporting site labor costs and associated variances / change orders for Alstom Power and it’s subcontractors. Other duties include serving as office manager and IT support, as well as assisting with contract issues and site management.

Responsible for the development of total integrated schedule for a $30,000,000 CP project (Kinston, NC), consisting of sub-plans for engineering, procurement, construction, and start-up / commissioning. This effort includes the setting up of WBS and system structures, reconciling with scope and equipment documentation, and estimate / manpower loading to assist with determining if the initial direction of the project should be cost or schedule driven. Schedule lead for $7,000,000 Dupont Performance Coatings relocation project in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Traveled to and worked with local Brazilian engineering firm (Genpro), and US based construction management group to create a resource loaded plan for completing the new project expansion by critical 1 year dead-line. Tracked weekly progress and reported critical path issues, as well as suggested recovery plans to the project team. Responsible for the development of a total integrated schedule for an annual shutdown at DuPonts largest Teflon facility, in Parkersburg WV. Utilizing Microsoft project (site preferred software), created a 10,000-activity resource loaded schedule that would include 5 separate area sub-projects, all to be completed in a 2-week turn-around. Trained two schedulers, as well as area managers, in scheduling processes and software utilization. Established protocols, and made recommendations for future scheduling endeavors. Developed construction schedule for a $60,000,000 Sentry Glas project at DuPont’s Fayetteville, NC facility, for their site subcontractor, Fluor Daniel. Worked with engineering group (JBEK) to integrate design and construction activities as well as establishing scheduling protocols. Trained two Fluor Daniel employees in scheduling with both Primavera (3.1) and Microsoft Project (97). Addressed, with DuPont management, scheduling concerns and recommendations for future resource driven efforts

Scheduler for one of two $200,000,000 Selective Catalytic Reduction Systems (SCR) for existing Boiler Units at Duke Power’s Belew’s Creek Steam Station. Responsible for development of level I, II, and III P3 construction schedules for integration into the client master database. Scheduling duties also included forecasting for manpower and commodity usage, integration of partner engineering and equipment schedules for master database, and associated weekly / monthly reporting for the project.

Lead planner for $230,000,000 power project, comprising the installation of 3 Frame 7 Simple Cycle Combustion Turbines and an associated 230 KV Switchyard for the Jacksonville Electric Authority. Developed and update detailed project schedules for progress tracking. Collect and input measurable field installed quantities, detailing in graph form for additional progress status. Assist with recovery planning to address scheduling issues and impacts. Participate in weekly cost reviews / schedule meetings and prepare status reports for both the client and Home Office. Manage estimate and cash flow for $115,000,000 portion of Material Handling project, as part of an alliance contract with the Jacksonville Electric Authority. Helped in development of work breakdown and coding structures to ensure that data is entered correctly and consistently into Project Controls system. Prepare and update detailed project and specialty schedules for progress tracking, while analyzing current schedule / cost trends for identification of potential problem areas. Participate in weekly cost reviews / schedule meetings and prepare status reports for both the client and Department of Energy.
