- Design in-vivo experiments for efficacy of novel therapeutics in murine metabolic disease models; perform time-course blood collections, metabolic activity analysis, longitudinal behavioral analysis & pain assessments.
- Prepare plasma from blood samples for downstream qPCR assays to quantify total circulating DNA content and to determine the ratio of circulating DNA from nuclear to mitochondrial cellular origin
- Design, develop and validate qPCR assays for nucleic acid quantification of tissue and plasma samples from murine, rodent, and swine animal models as requested to support studies within the ACMU department
