Associate Researcher
• Design in-vivo experiments for efficacy of novel therapeutics in murine metabolic disease models; perform time-course blood collections, metabolic activity analysis, longitudinal behavioral analysis & pain assessments; and tissue dissection• Prepare plasma from blood samples for downstream qPCR assays to quantify total circulating DNA content and to determine the ratio of circulating DNA from nuclear to mitochondrial cellular origin• Design, develop and validate qPCR assays for nucleic acid quantification of tissue and plasma samples from murine, rodent, and swine animal models as requested to support studies within the ACMU department
