• Oversee 66 maintenance employees to include 6 direct report supervisors and 60 technicians. • Promote a culture of safety and ensure all maintenance duties are performed safely and apply continuous improvement principles in the performance of those duties. • Analyze data within the CMMS company systems to monitor and develop department KPI’s related to production efficiencies. • Maintain excellent cross-functional, collaborative relationships with other key Hood departments in the pursuit of productive and sound decision making. • Work with production and maintenance team members to analyze problems, recommend solutions, plan the necessary work, and supervise its completion. • Lead and mentor maintenance personnel in their training and development to create a pool of internal expert maintenance mechanics. • Building a department information base that includes drawings, plans, and specifications of site utilities systems.

•Develops technical specifications and work processes related to the design, installation, and maintenance of all Public Utilities’ mechanical and structural facilities. Serves as technical expert in diagnosing the most complex maintenance issues. Prepares technical reports, preventative maintenance plans and special projects as required. •Coordinates, develops, and recommends long-range plans pertaining to the management and maintenance of the branch; develops and recommends policies and procedures; recommends internal branch organization; and establishes and implements management systems to effectively meet operating goals and objectives. •Reviews and assigns work orders, work progress, schedules, and priorities to ensure efficient and effective utilization of personnel and equipment. Receives requests for emergency and unscheduled work and coordinates prompt services to maintain functionality of the facilities. Performs quality control to ensure repairs and work is done correctly.•Responsible for the effective preparation, supervision, administration, and monitoring of the Facilities Division Maintenance Branch’s $500,000 repair and maintenance budget. Writes Business Case Evaluations for prioritizing projects within the organization. Is a member of the Capital Improvement Planning Committee prioritizing projects that cost more than $100,000 and budgets for the next 5 years. •Responsible for the direct supervision of 9 direct reports to include hiring, training, performance and management, employee relations, prioritizing and assigning work and related activities. •Responsible for diagnosing and performing the most complex maintenance and repairs of all mechanical and structural equipment in two water production plants, two residual plants, eight raw water pumping stations, three finished water booster pumping stations, eight above ground water storage tanks and a reverse osmosis plant. •Frequent Acting Superintendent in the absence of the Superintendent.

• Chief Petty Officer responsible for leading, supervising and training of 30- 60 departmental and division personnel within the Engineering and Repair Group. • Responsible for all maintenance and repairs of all mechanical and structural support equipment on a variety of vessels to include plumbing and sanitation system, damage control equipment, pumps, gas turbine engines, evaporators, steam boilers, fuel coalescers, elevators and the like. • Responsible for the creation, writing, implementation, and management of the Quality Assurance Program that was implemented on two vessels. • Continually trained all crew members in damage control, force protection, and engineering casualty control measures. • Performed duties as ship Fire Marshal, Engineering Duty Officer, Flight Deck on Scene Leader, Engineering Officer of the Watch, and various other duties over a 20-year span.
