I love to tackle the most difficult problems and solve them by unlocking the potential of the worker that will ultimately improve the safety and health of all workers. I accomplish this my understanding the how work is accomplished and work systems to quickly adapt new insights on how to improve.I have enjoyed many executive positions throughout my career in Safety and Health. My personal and professional experiences have showed me that I must continually learn, unlearn, and relearn. A specific personal example of this is when I started reading Todd Conklin’s books and engaged his help which led me to other like-minded people in this new view of safety and human performance. Working with Todd Conklin and others forced me to change my thinking and my methods (even though it was not easy to change techniques that made me successful over career). These methods combined with my engineering background allowed me to help small work groups to large integrated facilities improve their safety performance. I can successfully improve all elements of a safety and health program or a specific area that needs improvement in particularly, improving Serious Injuries and Fatalities.
