AAR Corporation is a global aerospace and defense aftermarket solutions company based in Chicago with operations in over 20 countries. Walter is responsible for the design and execution of proactive strategies to build and leverage AAR's relationships with a wide range of stakeholders in order to advance the company’s business priorities in domestic and international markets. He manages and monitors a large portfolio of issues and markets to advance AAR's interests on the company’s most pressing domestic and global policy priorities. He is responsible for representing AAR's public policy and regulatory agenda before the U.S. and globally as well as with trade associations and other stakeholder groups. In his position, he is tasked with identifying legislative, regulatory and political threats on international priorities and coordinating Government Relation’s response to defend or promote AAR's business interests as well as strengthening relationships with select foreign embassies and emissaries in Washington especially those representing key markets for AAR. He also manages AAR’s relationships with external consultants, key international industry associations and other third party advocates.
