As a Principal Engineer at Western Digital, I lead multifaceted equipment engineering projects for magnetic head manufacturing facility (Hard drives), a key component of the company's core products. With over 14 years of experience in this role, I have developed and applied expertise in PECVD, Ion Mill Etch (IBE), CMP, Clean Systems, and Resist Strip/Liftoff, which are essential for producing high-quality and reliable products. My mission is to redesign systems for both equipment and process enhancements, and to design and implement data acquisition systems to maintain control parameters. I use my MBA and B.S. in Information Technology to apply strategic planning, data analysis, project management, and vendor management skills to achieve these goals. I also train and mentor technicians, engineers, and operators, and collaborate with maintenance staff and vendors to install and upgrade fab equipment. I have received multiple awards for my work, such as the High 5 Award for data acquisition system on CMP systems and the Outstanding Employee Award for design and implementation of a bottom mounted Ion Mill PBN to alleviate particle and wafer scrappage. I am passionate about innovation and quality control, and I strive to leverage my expertise in magnetic head manufacturing and equipment engineering to contribute to Western Digital's success and growth.
