I have specialized in valuation and economic damages, with a focus on the energy sector. Recent valuation work included investment due diligence on both regulated and unregulated gas businesses, a coal plant, and merger advisory. In a recent merger advisory engagement, I worked closely with Chugach Electric's executive team on its successful $1 billion public acquisition of ML&P (2017-2020), in addition to conducting financial modeling and analysis relied upon in the Alaska regulatory proceeding. Additionally, I provided strategic advisory on a multi-billion dollar offshore wind investment, requiring financial valuation and bid advisory (with Monte Carlo simulation).Regarding damages-style analyses, I provided FERC testimony in a high-profile case for determining the exit fees that electric cooperatives would pay to exit their G&T. Other work includes calculating the net present value of damages resulting from a ruptured pipeline (for which our client received our full calculated damages), breached PPAs, cost of exiting a power supply arrangement, and various telecom-related damages cases as well.
