Job Overview – Responsible for the planning, implementation, management and controlling of all Financial and Supply Chain Management -related activities of the FerroAlloys Business Unit. Manage a team of 10 in the finance and commercial departments to ensure smooth operations:• Responsible for the forecast and annual budget P&L and Balance Sheets (including Cash Flows) that supports the operations and increases financial efficiency• Responsible for management of all relevant SCM activities (procurement, contracts, stock holding and warehousing of spares)• Manage the daily procure-to-pay process which includes the order, receiving and payment processes• Coordinate and provide oversight to third parties to which transactional functions have been outsourced which includes Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll• Responsible for monthly statements and upload to SAP and Hyperion• Mentoring of current Management Accountant• Responsible for completing Annual and interim tax packs• Liaison with internal and external auditors for interim and year-end audits• Responsible for internal projects at business unit (Furnace replacement and upgrade)• Completing of annual financial statements• Close-out, dismantling and rehabilitation of affiliate company and plant (Alloystream Business Unit)

Mayoko Iron Ore

Job Overview – Responsible for the planning, implementation, management and controlling of all project-related activities of the Mayoko Iron Ore Project (US$0,4 billion capital project). Additional responsibilities included the management of the compliance, risk and commercial activities of the project. Managed a team of 8 in the finance, document control, scheduling & cost and quantity surveying departments. The project was located in the Republic of the Congo with the Head Office in Pretoria. Detailed functions included: • Responsible for the forecasted and annual budgeted Project Reports (including Cash Flows) that supported the project• Implemented and maintained effective internal controls that ensured compliance with Exxaro project principles that are based on PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) • Assured proper recording of cost management and financial transactions• Developed and monitored performance measures that supported the project• Acted as the custodian of governance, risk and compliance which included the development and implementation and continuous review of internal controls which supported the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the Project’s value • Developed and managed the assurance processes which included internal and external auditors.• Managed the capital request, evaluation and budgeting processes of the project. Was responsible for R 70 million debtors’ book over region.
