My primary responsibility was leading the software development operations of the company. The company’s core expertise was the development of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and its flagship product was AnySite, the leading site-selection software tool for the retail, real estate and restaurant industries. I oversaw the team developing AnySite and during my tenure, the product line expanded from a single desktop version to include a web version and an enterprise version that was the first map-based Business Intelligence application.Additionally, I managed a team of programmers that developed custom software usually with a GIS component. And I was the lead consultant for any major project that required heavy customization. In this role, it was my responsibility to determine the needs of the client and craft a technical design to fulfill the requirements.

In my final role with IBM, I was leading a software development team that built a variety of browser-based applications that ranged from Internet Banking to internal line of business systems, which eventually became known as “Intranet” applications.
