I have a very rare opportunity in the IT Field at FSR. Where most in the IT career path advance through job hopping and position changes, I've advanced my career to it's highest level in one place for going on two decades.I am proof that staying at one place in the ever evolving career track of IT is not always the ticket to stagnation and loss of touch with current trends and practices.I am given the opportunity to constantly update my skills through training, attending technical conferences and networking events.I am also given the ability to implement new technologies and procedures, as Executive Management at FSR has made the commitment to continually adapt to the ever changing, technology driven, business climate. Sometimes IT initiatives work out and are integrated into our business process and sometimes they don't, but there is no fear of failure. Either way, we gain valuable insight and that is what advances a career and a company.I have, and execute, all of the expected duties of an IT Director. But the best part of my job is to work closely with all other Department Heads to find out how IT and data intelligence can make their day better and the company more profitable.

Responsible for all operations of a 24 hour contract alarm monitoring station.Trained & certified dispatchers to the high standards of SIA.Maintained a life safety certified, UL listed computer network and alarm receivers to ensure 100% uptime as required by UL.

Worked as a Police Officer in conjunction with Regular Officers to augment the force during a time when hiring was frozen for full-time officers by the Governor. Duties included patrol, investigation and later supervisory duties of a 60 man OEM Dept. 20+ hours per week were required and often exceeded. Throughout my tenure, I was in charge of Communications for the Division and instructed dispatchers as well as doing at least one shift a week as Tour Commander responsible for all the officers in the field. My promotion to Sgt after 3 years put me as 5th in charge of 60. I left the Department on good standing as I needed to dedicate more time to my full-time career. The life skills and leadership lessons I learned were invaluable and I still apply them to my work today.
