As a contractor, primary responsibilities as team leader included daily supervision of help desk, scheduling, training, and delegation of duties to team. Primary contact between programming dept. and field. As lead technician, managed most delicate situations/issues of IBM point-of-sale (POS) equipment (Win NT4) in retail stores. Installed and tested upgrades before release. Troubleshot Server/Terminals, Wireless LAN between them, and VPN between stores and corporate office.

Supported POS systems for retail stores with Unix, and WindowsNT/9x servers. Setup & troubleshot user privileges, security, lan/wan connectivity issues, file polling & implementation, printers & peripherals. Manipulated databases in SQL, FoxPro, and Access.
