Managing PartnerGut Faustenhof Regenerative Farm Jun 1989 - PresentOver the past 35 years, Walter has helped to mainstream regenerative agriculture that integrates greater productive with positive impact on people and nature. His first step towards implementing this vision was taking over the management of Gut Faustenhof, an old family farm agricultural practice of which was both environmentally and economically unsustainable. In partnership with the Schweisfurth Foundation and an agricultural entrepreneur Walter developed an innovative approach that turned the farm into a model of economically successful regenerative farming and ranching in which organically grown grains feed horses whose milk - the best substitute for mother's milk - is sold to hospitals and also used in the production of other health and skin care products. The resulting business success has inspired many other farmers to consider transitioning to more innovative, regenerative and profitable forms of agriculture and food production. Walter gave up his responsibilities for Gut Faustenhof to focus on work on large-scaling regenerative agriculture.
