Being a part of the Tau Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi, Navy ROTC, and the College of Engineering at NC State has required ample leadership, time management, and communication skills. I have assumed leadership roles in both Pi Kappa Phi and Navy ROTC at the same time. All while remaining successful in my pursuit of a Chemical Engineering degree. I use effective communication in conjunction with critical thinking on a day to day basis. On top of these interpersonal skills I have also developed the ability to use scientific and statistical data to analyze chemical processes. My favorite part of being an engineering student is having the opportunity to cooperate and communicate with my peers about the technical knowledge we are learning. I am highly motivated towards accomplishing my goals, and I have a passion for helping others achieve their goals as well. This can be seen through my leadership experience in Pi Kappa Phi as well as NROTC. In both organizations I helped to develop new members into better versions of themselves.This passion for helping others has extended towards the community as well. I was a Catholic Sunday school teacher for several years, and I continue my community service today through the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity and its Ability Experience philanthropy.
