As the CEO and CTO of Joynt, I spearheaded the development of our innovative platform, utilizing a modern tech stack that includes TypeScript, React, React Native, Next.js, Expo, GitHub Actions, Vercel Edge Cached Deployments, and Sanity CMS.I designed a user-friendly interface and robust backend architecture, ensuring a seamless experience for our users. My hands-on approach enabled us to efficiently iterate on features and enhancements, while our deployment pipeline ensured rapid and reliable releases.I undertook a deep integration with the Treez point of sale and inventory management system, enabling Unity CHT to become the first fully functional product on the market leveraging the Treez headless e-commerce API.Through strategic vision and technical expertise, I have positioned Joynt at the forefront of the industry, driving growth by taking a “dispensary owner first” approach to innovation.

We started Perception Cannabis with the goal of bringing high quality, fair trade, top shelf cannabis products to the Illinois market. After 5 years of hard work, the Perception team is finally realizing its first retail location in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago. In 2024 we will begin bringing Perception Gardens, our Craft Cannabis Cultivation business into operation. Perception Gardens plans to have solventless extract products on the market in 2024! It is going to be a busy year, but team Perception couldn't be more excited for what's in store!

At Voxy AI, I am developing tools that help businesses implement complex user interactions empower them with Artificial Intelligence. We build custom conversational models for our clients. Then we use those models to drive interaction and engagement with Large Language Models (LLMs), qualify leads, maintain dialogue, retarget customers, integrate telephony, and more.I architected the Voxy technology infrastructure from end to end. My work includes developing a full stack development, build, test, and deployment pipeline on Google Cloud services. I write Gatsby/React front end applications supporting our public facing web components, back end operational components, and embeddable widgets. I manage and develop a TypeScript server back end with Redis for distributed processing and Postgres for the caching message history.As VOXY's senior technical writer, I'm responsible for all public facing copy, internal API documentation, client onboarding documentation, and UX writing. As senior technical writer, I am also responsible for admin / client facing Prompt Engineering as a service!Python applications I developed support Voxy's custom knowledge base backbone which has been loaded with LangChain with Vector DB customized embeddings. I created a real time LangChain application that consumes Google PubSub messages and leverages the Vector Database embeddings to augment calls to hosted LLM providers including ChatGPT and PALM. I manage the cloud infrastructure supporting our Docker container based deployments. I design custom integrations for clients sites, adapting the Voxy widget embeddings for usage with our platform.

As Senior Lead Developer at SKL Trading, I performed a total rewrite of the company's market making platforms. This involved a significant refactoring of trading components to employ a modular design based upon ZeroMQ and Node TS. I oversaw the development of numerous exchange connectivity implementations, and developed tools for streamlining the process. By instrumenting prometheus metrics throughout the platform, I enabled SKL to have unprecedented insight into its market making operations leveraging grafana for data visualization. I also took the lead on a green field project to develop the client UI implemented with Redwood JS. The client UI allows SKL clients to provide liquidity across many liquidity pools and exchanges, providing a consolidated set of views, tools and analytics and asset management. As I continue to grow along with SKL Trading, I look forward to continuing to evolve the platform into a top of class offering for its clients and migrating the platform to K8s in order to unlock the next level of scalability and reliability.

As the Managing Director of the Ad Server API Team, my primary focus was on leading the design, development, testing, documentation, and deployment of Java server-side and JS client-side components for the Conversant RTB, CRM, and DMP platforms. The codebase produced under my team's guidance was implemented globally at true web scale, with hundreds to thousands of bare metal nodes distributed across data centers on nearly every continent. At Conversant, every challenge became a big data challenge.The following key responsibilities were included under my leadership:1. Design and Architecture: I spearheaded the design of the Java server-side and JS client-side components, ensuring they aligned with the overall architecture of the Conversant RTB, CRM, and DMP platforms. 2. Technical Writing and Documentation: I built and deployed the OpenAPI Swagger server which hosted all internal API reference documentation in YAML format. My responsibilities also included extensive narrative, guide and other support documentation in Confluence.Throughout my tenure as Managing Director, I gained extensive expertise in managing large-scale distributed systems, ensuring seamless deployments, and optimizing data processing pipelines. In the role of Chief Architect and Lead Developer, I deployed, optimized, and extended an extensive portfolio of high-frequency trading systems in the futures and options markets, leveraging Java, Python, and C++ software stacks. As senior technical writer on staff, I was responsible for all internal API and technical documentation, user guides, pitch presentations, and UX writing. In order to achieve scale and enter more markets, I designed, developed, and deployed a custom suite for market analytics, system automation, and data visualization. This suite utilized the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular.js, and Node.js) with a Python and Docker-based backend. It enabled high performance and provided low-level system access through a C++ plugin model. Additionally, I successfully integrated several disparate systems using RabbitMQ as a messaging middle layer.As part of a skunkworks project, I prototyped and deployed a proof-of-concept GPU cryptocurrency mining system, utilizing excess energy capacity in existing data center footprints. I conducted research and development in blockchain and smart contract technologies to implement a dark chain offering. Furthermore, I developed a cross-exchange cryptocurrency trading system.I maintained and improved low-latency exchange message deduplication and QoS software systems to deliver the highest possible performance across physically separate data centers.

As INTL FCStone Head Of Transactional Data Exchange: Developed and delivered liquidity routing, monitoring, reconciliation and reporting solutions by employing a RabbitMq, MongoDb and C# based JSON, FIX and FPML communication layer consumed via NuGet packaged functional APIs. This API is now used across the INTL umbrella in order to remain competitive in constantly evolving regulatory environment by facilitating rapid third party middleware integrations with AMPQ, JMS, FTP drop copy, SOAP, REST and WebSphere MQ similar endpoints.At INTL FCStone, my role required a significant amount of technical writing. My writing audience was typically divided between decision makers and technical internal engineering consumers of the platform.
