Walter Oden is an business owner/investor/entrepreneur actively engaged in the areas of Modular Home & Real Estate Development, Government Contracting and Finance. Mr. Oden spent 4 years working under the Obama Administration with the Small Business Administration helping to drive Capital Access and Government Contracting Opportunities on behalf of Small Business Owners.Mr. Oden is also a 20 year business development veteran in the Media Industry where he was most recently Vice President of Content Distribution, MTV Networks and BET Networks (MTVN). In that role, Mr. Oden oversaw the distribution, growth, field operations, local advertising, as well as new products strategies for MTVNs 23+ networks, including Comedy Central, VH1, Spike and Nickelodeon.Prior to joining MTV, Mr. Oden was formerly Vice President, Distribution and Business Development for A&E Television Networks (AETN) responsible for the distribution growth and development of the Video On Demand (VOD) business. He began his cable career in marketing with Time Warner Cable, Comcast Cable and Fox Television. Mr. Oden joined the ranks of the cable industry after beginning his career with Merck & Co, Inc. Mr. Oden, received an MBA from Florida A&M University’s School of Business and Industry and a BS from Bethune-Cookman University. He has received numerous awards and industry recognition including being inducted into the Cablefax Hall of Fame and is recognized as one of the most "influential people in cable". Oden is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity and the Brooklyn Guardsmen.
