About Ed Walters

With more than 25 years of experience in the legal publishing industry, Ed Walters is a hands-on leader and educator who is transforming the delivery of legal services. As the Chief Strategy Officer at vLex, Walters oversees the development and execution of the company's global strategy, with a focus on product innovation, business development, and licensing. He is a frequent author and keynote speaker.He is the co-founder and former CEO of Fastcase, a pioneering legal publishing company that invented many of the modern tools for legal research, including results sorting, citation analysis, mobile apps, and analytics for legal research. He led the company's growth and expansion, securing multiple partnerships and acquisitions, and reaching more than 1.2 million subscribers. Walters also has more than 10 years of teaching experience, as an adjunct professor at Georgetown Law and at Cornell Law School, where he teaches The Law of Robots and The Law of Autonomous Vehicles.
