After Frederick Intermodal lost their contract I was hired on by Marine Repair Services-Container Maintenance Corps to continue my position as a Transportation Equipment Inspector and Mechanic. My tasks are the same: complete quality assurance inspections, assist in performing preventative maintenance work, and replace or repair defective vehicle components. All inspections and repairs are to comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and are completed at the Salt Lake City Union Pacific, Intermodal Terminal Rail Yard. All maintenance and mechanic work completed while maintaining vehicle records such as mileage, repair and maintenance schedule, along with preparation of cost estimates for repairs and services requested.

These inspections are completed using a Lite Check Inspector 920 Advanced ABS Commercial Trailer Tester.

Perform and coordinate radiation and contamination surveys, through air, soil, vegetation, and water sampling. All surveys and sampling performed to demonstrate compliance with the Radioactive Material Licenses. Perform maintenance and calibration of sampling equipment.
