Web Development Immersive (12-week bootcamp). I covered topics such as Databases, APIs, Agile Methodologies, Presentation Skills, Research Methods. I completed three major projects, one of which being a group project that required collaboration using Git and Github. I built apps using Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, and jQuery. The databases used were Firebase, PostgreSQL, and Redis.

As part of my graduate program I received an assistantship in which I was able to support my professor in her research with bilingual children. I helped to transcribe speech samples on SALT. I also assisted my professor in grading quizzes and exams as well as to organize a project for the class in which they were required to analyze different standardized language assessments for children.

Visalia, California

In the beginning I helped to set up shelving and allocated locations for product and helped to put it in place. To do this I got my forklift and order picker license. I assisted the company in their move into the new location in California. I designed a system to keep track of all paperwork. This included HR, accounting, and shipping. I helped to sort through applications and forwarded the eligible ones to the executives on cite. I maintained the budget and designed the document used by the company to ensure the move stay within the budget. Upon completion of the move into the new facility and hiring of employees to run the location I returned to Ohio and continued to work for Service Spring as an office assistant. The company outgrew the facility there and moved into a bigger manufacturing facility and a separate executive office building for which I also designed and maintained the budget. I gathered information from all execs able to make decisions and the final budget was set based on my calculations. During this time I developed a plan to reduce waste and organized recycling for the office. I helped to improve various smaller projects around the company and was able to attend 3 conventions in which I helped to invite new customers to learn more about the company.

Herrenberg, Germany

After returning to Germany I continued to work for IBM. This time I worked in the sales department in which my team was responsible for small to medium sized accounts. I assisted the team in updating contact lists.

Toledo Area Campus

I worked at the bookstore as a cashier. I also helped to re-stock the shelves. I was only able to work there for a short period of time because the position did not open up until March and I moved back to Germany in May.

I taught German at an international company to adults who were expected to deal with German employees. I was contracted through Owens Community College and I got a teacher parking pass :)

Herrenberg, Germany

Assisted with payroll management of the Herrenberg location and the monitoring of commission pay. I managed complex Excel documents that tracked sales of individual employees.
