About Walt Jones

I am a filmmaker, producer, visual effects supervisor, designer, project manager and pipeline/workflow architect who has been in the business of visual storytelling since the early 1990s. Drawing on a diverse background in television and film production, theatrical and film lighting design, photographic art and software development, I’ve spent the past seventeen years breathing life into a diverse world of digital creatures, environments and effects for music videos, feature films and commercial projects. I have supervised teams large and small around the world and have extensive experience planning and executing feature film projects in the US, India and China. I’ve been a member of elite “special ops” teams brought in to “fix” projects which have gone wrong and have been tasked with designing and implementing some of the most challenging visual imagery filmmakers and creatives have been able to dream up.
