I am Walter “Walt” Kline. I started my professional leadership career by enlisting in the Ohio Army National Guard and later as an Active-Duty Army Officer in the Corps of Engineers. These experiences were formative to my overall outlook in life as the motto for the Corps is “Essayons” which is French for “Let Us Try”. I have applied this motto in both my military and civilian roles working from the C Suite down through the organization to the individuals executing the processes within businesses.Early in my civilian career at Ford Motor Company, the foundations for driving continuous improvement and business system processes were formed. I was a leader for a major Quality System that drove Customer Satisfaction which received corporate recognition. Our department efforts driving process improvements eventually resulted in achieving recognition with two Henry Ford Technology Awards. I was recognized as a leader being selected for the Six Sigma Black Belt training program. I later obtain my Master Black Belt with Lean and Design credentials from Bank of America. I was recruited from the line of business to join the Operational Excellence team as one of the lead instructors for the Enterprise. I was assigned to a team to build the Business Process Management System to mitigate operational risks during the banking crisis. Through a variety of business and leadership roles, I bring a breadth and depth of experience to any organization with a fresh outlook and approach in solving complex issues. My unique background allows me to strategically develop an Operational Excellence culture from the ground floor building a team with Global reach impacting business across the enterprise. We simply asked, “Let us try”.HOW CAN I HELP YOUR ORGANIZATION? Is your organization dealing with questions like:1) Does the organization have clear direction with measurable goals? 2) What is the process maturity in the organization?3) Are we engaging the greatest assets through professional development with process focus and data driven methods?4) Are teams organized to continually drive performance and optimization across all processes?Let’s talk about deployment of the Operational Excellence Model that has the capability of transforming and ultimately impacting the profit margins supporting sustainable operations.Learner, Analytical, Strategic, Responsibility, Connectedness (Gallup’s Strength Finder)
