The Retail-Trade sector is a leading employer and GDP contributor, forming essential linkages to Agriculture, Manufacturing, and other key sectors that drive the continent’s economy.My passion lies in harnessing the potential of Retail to foster circularity. By promoting sustainable practices, reducing food waste, and creating economic opportunities, I believe Retail can significantly uplift communities and drive socio-economic transformation across Africa.Throughout my career, I have taken on strategic roles that have shaped the Retail-Trade landscape. I am a seasoned board member, having served on influential boards, including the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) and the Kenya Extended Producer Responsibility Organisation (KEPRO). These positions have allowed me to influence policy and drive sector-wide initiatives that support growth and sustainability.One of my notable achievements is growing RETRAK into a strong advocacy and lobby organization. Under my leadership, RETRAK now represents over 150 corporate members with more than 600 retail outlets, making it a formidable voice in the industry.Beyond the boardroom, my commitment to service and environmental sustainability is reflected in my leadership of the Lavington Eco Rotary Club, where I have previously served as Club President. I have consistently championed initiatives that blend business growth with social impact, ensuring that our economic progress does not come at the expense of our planet.My journey in Retail-Trade is driven by a vision to create a future where business success and positive social impact go hand in hand.
