Supported by a Worldwide University Network (WUN) Research Mobility Award, I spent a total of one year and half of research fieldwork in China that led to unprecedented interviews with key stakeholders in the Chinese retail industry, including multinational retailers' senior executives, local and international vendors, Chinese government officers, and leading strategy consultants. Findings were divulgated at various conferences in China, the UK and USA, and published in a top ranked academic journal, Economic Geography. Beside research, I also acted as teaching assistant in a number of undergraduate modules, including The Geography of Retail and Consumption.
