• Provide expert support in the development and execution of software roadmap and strategy, with an emphasis on multimedia, security.• Engage directly with major accounts to understand their software requirements and support their evaluation efforts.• Responsible for software version control using different tools such as VB6 SourceSafe.• Actively consolidate those key customer requirements with market requirements from industry marketing to support the next software products.• Work with partner management to understand offerings to form full software platform solutions.• Track industry trends, inflections, and customer requirements to identify opportunities for innovation and product differentiation.• Responsible for data analysis and validation of proper SQL data base system setups.• Work closely with engineering and program management groups to ensure successful product development and release.• Work with product marketing to develop go-to-market plans for the product deliver and market presentation to customers, influencers, sales teams, and internal AMD stakeholders.• Manage the full product lifecycle from product definition through transition to future products.

• Responsible for assuring that output from the software development process includes adequate identification and interpretation of product requirements, such as a) traceability requirements, b) test requirements, c) usability among others• Review product design documentation to ensure that requirements stated are correct.• Consult with product development to evaluate system interfaces, operational requirements, and performance requirements of overall system.• Define test methods and create test plans for new or updated software projects to determine if the software will perform accurately and reliably according to documented requirements as well as established standards under both normal and abnormal conditions.• Recommend design improvements or corrections to engineers throughout the development process.• Maintain effective communication with the project software engineers on project limitation, capability, performance requirement and hardware interface changes.• Execute test plans and create test reports to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction.• Monitor program performance after implementation to prevent reoccurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation.
