CurrentSupervisory: Leads and monitors the daily activities of Billing and Collection Department staff to ensure the efficient and orderly operation of all day-to-day activities. Ensures production goals are met, staff complies with company standards, collection laws (federal and state), and are generally performing the essential functions of their position. Analyze, review, and make recommendations for improvement in revenue protection to include the dunning process, bad debt collections, and theft of services.Customer Service: Provide optimal customer service to internal and external customers. Determine the nature of inquiries and utilize a thorough knowledge of organizational policy and procedure to handle each challenge through resolution and referral. Receive customer complaints and concerns, conduct thorough investigative techniques and offer solutions in a timely manner. Handle all customer records with extreme attention to detail and confidentiality.Administrative: Train employees on collection policies and procedures. Initiate phone calls, verbal messages, written documentation, bond claims and legal action to resolve delinquent accounts. Monitor and successfully meet deadlines. Manage special projects as assigned. Demonstrate knowledge of the principles, techniques, methods and procedures of the department. Exhibit excellence in handling multiple projects and assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
