• Elected to the City Council as a direct result of thought leadership, and the demonstrated commitment to improving various facets of government for the City of Suisun City (e.g., City housing, public financing, water, sewage) and resident livelihood.• Represent Suisun City in the following agencies: Suisun City Successor Agency, Suisun City Housing Authority, Suisun City Public Financing Authority; oversee the dissolvement of the Redevelopment Agency, ensuring compliance with all regulations monitored by the State Department of Finance, the Controller of the State of California, and the Solano County Auditor-Controller; serve the residents of Suisun City by providing federal Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8), and/or rental assistance to qualifying families, seniors, and individuals.• Serve on the Board of Directors for Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District and Suisun-Solano Water Authority.• Led efforts to revitalize Neighborhood Watch Program.

• Appointed by fellow Council Members to serve as Mayor Pro Tem due to spearheading various successful City government initiatives (e.g., selection and recommendation for Cannabis Ad Hoc Committee, Suisun City Children’s Art Fair, Good Neighbor Policy, Volunteer in Police Services, Adopt-A-Neighborhood), as well as recognition as a policy subject matter expert (SME).• Counsel City staff in urban planning, budgeting, fiscal forecasting, public outreach, and collaboration with other government entities via utilization of comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local laws.• Monitor, develop, and analyze City policy proposals in key issues areas, ensuring to advocate for residents belonging to disadvantaged communities.• Help inform and shape strategic directions via expert incorporation of policy advocacy, community collaboration and outreach, as well as media and communication.• Support the team and communication staff by developing and executing outreach and media initiatives, including identifying key messaging strategies, resulting in the ability to successfully educate the community.

• Appointed to the Chair of the Ethnic Studies Committee to oversee Solano Community College’s transition process from Ethnic Studies to Social Justice Studies as a direct result of the demonstrated ability to lead successful diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives; facilitated ASSC negotiations with the College President to reach an agreement for a smooth and equitable transition.• Organized protests and petitions to protect the Ethnic Studies programs.• Investigated and resolved student complaints and issues against faculty.• Connected students with various resources (e.g., workshops, events, programs).• Planned and executed yearly student event celebrating Black History, Women’s History, as well as the End-of-Year Staff Ceremony.
