Developed vision, creation and growth of Georgia-Pacific’s Talent Selection Center of Excellence from conception to 90+ employees responsible for recruiting experienced, college/entry-level, hourly, temporary, contract and temp-to-hire talent for more than 200 facilities across the country. Used innovative sourcing and selection strategies to provide a diverse pool of candidates aligned with company culture resulting in higher quality hires in a shorter time frame and improved operational effectiveness. Led multiple cross-company system conversions, development of consistent processes start-finish, including training of recruiting staff, HR and hiring managers.

Provided strategic and general HR support of GP’s Supply & Trading business including Wood & Fiber Supply, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, Compliance, EH&S and Engineering. Played a key role in advancing Market Based Management (MBM) culture following acquisition by Koch Industries. Facilitated MBM training sessions educating leaders and employees on the company’s Guiding Principles, compliance expectations, compensation philosophy and performance development. Supported organizational change, improved processes and reduced costs through effective leadership, guidance and sharing of knowledge.

Provided HR support to GP’s Containerboard, Corrugated Packaging and Building Products segments. Developed, implemented and managed multiple incentive/compensation plans and pay structures (sales, pay for performance, discretionary, gain share, stock options, annual merit reviews and broad banding), managed all aspects of employee relations, and supported numerous mergers & acquisitions of various size/scale in multiple areas of subject matter expertise.

Revised and managed innovative incentive plans and pay structures to attract and retain talent during the Y2K peak in technology and talent demands. Managed all aspects of employee relations and became adept at interpreting and applying HR policies and procedures. Co-led most profitable annual United Way campaign for the year.
