Educator and researcher with a background in the game industry, including roles at Wizards of the Coast, Hasbro, and Xbox. I bridge creativity and technology to mentor the next generation of game designers and innovators, exploring how emerging technologies shape society and culture. My teaching spans hacking culture, AI, and speculative futures through courses like Hacking Culture, Black Mirror, and artificial intelligence, where I challenge students to think critically about the ethical and social dimensions of technology.While teaching at the University of Washington Bothell, I founded the Center for Serious Play, a collaborative space where students, industry leaders, and faculty tackled bold ideas and created impactful projects. As a Fulbright scholar in Iceland, I expanded this work internationally, connecting technology, culture, and education in new ways.My research focuses on how games and interactive technologies can foster empathy, inclusion, and social impact. Whether mentoring students, designing collaborative spaces, or exploring global approaches to innovation, I bring a perspective shaped by industry expertise, academic rigor, and a commitment to meaningful change.
