Raised in Harlem, NY, Wanda has over 20 years’ experience within governmental and nonprofit sectors providing health and supportive services to vulnerable populations most impacted by health disparities. She began her career within NYC Human Resources Division of AIDS Services and helped to establish the agency’s first case management program for HIV+ women and their children. Since then, she has developed and administered various programs on the healthcare continuum.Wanda currently serves as Special Advisor to the CEO & Vice President of JEDI for Sun River Health, one of the largest Federally Qualified Health Centers in New York State. In her role, she leads and provides the strategic direction of Sun River Health's response to racism and injustice.Wanda joined Brightpoint Health (Sun River Health’s New York City Division) in 2013 and served as the Vice President, Business Operations where she was responsible for securing governmental and foundation funding, program development and overseeing compliance of the HRSA funded Health Center program. She earned her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Daemen College and her Masters of Science in Organizational Change Management from The New School’s Milano School for Management and Urban Policy.
