Wande Okunoren-Meadows is the Executive Director of Little Ones Learning Center in ForestPark, GA which is Three Star Quality Rated and accredited by the National Association for theEducation of Young Children where she oversees the operations of a holistic early childhoodeducation center that provides services to over 175 children. She directs the center’sdevelopment and implementation of quality initiatives, incorporating activities that stimulatechildren’s physical, emotional, intellectual and social growth. Her success spearheading acommunity garden at the center prompted a visit from Georgia First Lady Sandra Deal topromote nutrition and wellness among young people as keys to early childhood education. Thecenter’s distinguished farm to ece program has served as a national model. The center openedits onsite Little Lions Farm Stand which helps address access and equity issues. Wande wasappointed and served on Governor Deal and Georgia’s first Early Education Subcommittee andis a recipient of the Nikki Randall Servant Leadership Award presented by State RepresentativeValencia Stovall and the Georgia Women’s Legislative Caucus. In addition to serving as the pastChair of the Caucus of Emory Black Alumni she is VP of Legal and Legislative Affairs for theGeorgia Child Care Association and recently appointed to the Advisory Board of the NationalFarm to School Network. Wande resides in Lithonia, Georgia with her husband and threechildren.
