As a work-study student, I have had the opportunity to put into practice many of the concepts learned in class. This has helped me develop my analytical skills, my decision making and handling of tasks in an efficient manner. As a student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, I have participated in many team projects. Many of these projects required a leader to impose guidelines and parameters, and that is when the skills acquired on the job came to the fore.I’ve had the pleasure of working with high-level programming languages such as C++ or Java. This not only serves me as a tool, but also as a way of looking at the world. Programming is based on a clear and well-structured set of instructions. If you extrapolate that basis to the real world, it is very useful to structure your work or even your life under this same rubric. Apart from programming languages I have been back in data collection and analysis projects with the purpose of contrasting the data set with the data obtained. This type of work taught me how to use Excel to graph this data. In my programming labs, I demonstrated my ability to apply my knowledge practically. For instance, I developed an inventory management system for a car dealership using C++, implementing logical algorithms for organizing cars based on brand, model, and price. Additionally, I created a Java-based inventory management system for a convenience store, connecting it to a MySQL database and incorporating various functions for product management.One of my standout projects involved designing an object-oriented program to calculate the trajectory of a 2D object in physics class. This project showcased my proficiency in simplifying complex concepts and formulas to precisely calculate motion variables such as velocity, height, and angle. My personal motivation for applying to this internship is to develop myself as a good data analyst. Working for government agencies is a perfect fit for this role, as these agencies are the ones that are in close contact with the population. Analyzing data and then creating artificial intelligence models that they employ. A crucial part in intern team is communication and understanding the real purpose of the task, which I recognize are skills that thanks to my studies and past jobs, I can perform without any difficulty.
