Contract Facilitator with Catalyst - a non for profit making the work place work for women.

Instructor for WQM 200 - Hydraulics, WQM 140 - Management and Leadership, and WQM 118 Collection Systems. Assists the College with content development for WQM 140 as part of a large grant awarded to the Red Rocks.

Was a volunteer presenter at Cherry Creek Diversity Conference for trans 101 class.

I shared this voluntary leadership position with Anni-Frid Santos. Our committee plans events and represents YPs on the Joint board.

I managed a small group of volunteers that help conduct youth education and outreach events and programs for the RMSAWWA. I helped the section conduct their first Model Water Tower Competition.

I worked with AWWA volunteers. I helped AWWA with technical questions and deliverables such as Manuals of Practice, web-casts, E-learning courses, technical content for conferences and other misc. projects.

I help the RMSAWWA/WEA YP committee plan various events for the local YPs here in Denver.

I served as second in command of FSAWWA Region IV for two years. I helped plan local events such as happy hours, training seminars, member appreciation events, as well as help find volunteers for certain regional and section level activities. I also helped manage the Regional Model Water Tower Contest but assisting the chair and vice chair put on a successful event every year.

I traveled around the state of FL as a part-time, on call instructor of the Distribution level 3 class (3 day each - aprox 10 classes total) to help utilities get their employees trained and certified before April 2011. I also taught lime softening and basic operations for utilities in the Orlando area.

I served as the Public Affairs Council Chair (Volunteer Position on the FL Section AWWA board - FSAWWA) for almost a year and a half. I managed a small group of volunteers speard out the state of FL including at as many as 4 subcommittees. the Section won a AWWA Section Youth Education award in 2010 for the Model Water Tower Contest. This contest is managed by the PAC as a state contact to help get new contests off the ground and manage the existing contests - their needs, issues, and successes. During my time as chair, the Section also won a Youth Education grant from the SWFWMD. This grant paid for a project to help volunteers during the great american clean up understand how fertilizer use effects watershed water quality int the Tampa Bay area. I was a member of the PAC for 4 years before becoming chair - 2 years as PAC Secretary and 2 years as the MWTC state chair.

From permit applications, plant start-ups, commissioning documentation, building/commissioning and running pilot plants, storm water pond/drainage, cost estimation, SOPs, Operator Training, resident engineering, data collection and control, water and wastewater quality, sampling, basic design, Industrial pretreatment, collections, Troubleshooting, etc.... you name it I've probably done it at least once.

I taught the Water C operator Certification course to help new people learn about water treatment and pass their state exam. I also wrote the HCC's Advanced Water Treatment Curriculum as well as performed an audit of their membrane skids.

I was basically a gopher - this was my first engineering job out of grad school. I worked on permit applications and plant inspections. Helped senior level people make sure the projects were properly permitted and met regularly with FDEP on consent orders, permit applications, renewals, etc.

Graduate student lab rat galore! I learned how to design and conduct serious research in a competitive work environment. My research focused on Arsenic Release from Drinking Water Distribution Solids collected by the USEPA. My work was presented at WQTC 2005, ACE 2005, various Ohio AWWA Section conferences and one international conference hosted in New Orleans.
