In 1925, Reuben Trane developed a new approach to promoting his company’s products, creating what is now called the Trane Graduate Engineer Training Program or "GTP". Developed for Trane engineers and sales personnel, this program was the first of its kind and is still regarded as the industry’s finest. Engineering graduates from prominent colleges and universities are recruited into the program where they complete an intensive post-graduate curriculum that stresses engineering fundamentals, HVAC systems design and application. After successfully completing the program, graduates advance to sales or management assignments within the company.The Trane Graduate Training Program (GTP) is a highly competitive, industry-renowned, 20-week training program for new account managers that is held in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Through a combination of intensive classroom and hands-on learning, mentoring, and frequent guest speakers from the field, students develop the technical knowledge and account management skills critical for success in their careers within Trane. Classes are also traditionally known for their active service and involvement on the La Crosse Trane campus and within the surrounding community. Recent participants represented Trane in the local Oktoberfest parade, rang bells for the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign and participated in an area park clean-up. Past classes have participated in the Special Olympics Polar Plunge, worked at the Humane Society and participated in local food drives.Trane graduated its first GTP class in 1925. The program runs two 20-week classes per year, drawing attendees from diverse locations and backgrounds throughout North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific Rim. In addition to the 20-week classroom training session, GTP includes an internship program to prepare students for the program, plus on-the-job training to monitor progress and ensure success.

The Goal of the IEQ Committee is to:Assemble, evaluate, and disseminate to OEH&S professionals reliable information relevant to environmental quality in occupied indoor locations, including nonoccupational uses.

The Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) is a nonprofit, multi-disciplinary organization, dedicated to promoting the exchange of indoor environmental information through education and research, for the safety and well being of the general public.
