  Global Search◦ Local Search​: Process and analyze the big data in Yahoo’s search volumes, with machine learning algorithms such as linear regression, SVM, and factorization machines to build various classifiers embedded with Search Engine for better relevance in Local results.◦ Amplify: Built a metrics reporting system for Search’s addons/extensions with Chrome and Firefox. Applied Hadoop tech stack to grid data processing and provide product insights in user behaviours and product performance. ◦ Query Understanding and Search Suggestion: Built statistical models with text mining techniques to provide various search assistants, such as search suggestion dropdown, Also Try, and Trending Now.Global Media, a.k.a. Homepage and Verticals○ Social​: Supported to share Yahoo Media Content to social networks. Independently built a JavaScript library working on server side and client side to realize share buttons on next­generation Media Yahoo verticals powered by Node.js.○ UGC​: Joined a team of 5 engineers to deliver a series of User Generated Content products, including Comments, Polls, Forums, Sentiment Votes. Conducted BE/FE end­-to-­end integration, implementation of FE user experience, and testing.○ Global News​: In cooperation with teams distributed in 4 time zones to build new Yahoo News experience on top of one code base and platform that meets internationalization and accessibility standards. Developed tools for content feeds. Carried out proof of concept of various ideation in content enrichment. Implemented APIs in Java/PHP as well as FE user experiences.
