Whenever someone asks me what I like to do during my free time, my response has always been: reading. When I was young, I always ended my nights with a bedtime story. I loved the concept of learning something new, whether it was a feeling I've never experienced or a fictional world created by the author. Thus, finishing a book was an accomplishment that I looked forward to. Marketing to me is akin to telling a story about a brand or a company. I was lucky enough that my first co-op experience at State Street Corporation put me in charge of creating a corporate newsletter, allowing me to write stories to a captive professional audience. My ability to tell a story with words has evolved to an ability to tell a story through numbers. Through my experience at VMware, I learned how to tell the story of a customer’s digital journey through the marketing pipeline by using lead generation data. Telling stories is my passion. Whether it’s guiding members of my fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi, through their academic/professional careers by sharing stories of my own experiences, or conveying the story of whom I am through my own style, I still find ways to tell stories every day. As I navigate through my career after college, I hope to continue my love for storytelling. Every company has a story. Let me tell yours.
