• Leads the development of a novel blood-based signature into an in vitro diagnostic kit with industry participations, for the early detection of hepatocellular carcinoma from high risk chronic hepatitis B virus carriers• Leads the in-house genome-wide CRISPR knockout screening platform identify genetic targets for anti-cancer dug resistance in hepatocellular carcinoma and acute myeloid leukemia, with an aim for precision medicine through the development of companion diagnositic biomarkers• Establishes and maintains active collaboration with various key clinical collaborators in both Singapore General Hospital and major hospitals in Guangzhou China to conduct prospective studies to access the clinical sensitivity and specificity of the biomarkers
