Born in Shanghai, China, came to New York in 2013 to study at Parsons School of Design, and graduated in May, 2018 with Fashion Design BFA degree specializing in menswear.Soon after graduated, together with a classmate from Parsons, I started an independent design studio called Efface. The nomenclature’s meaning of erase is a reflection on today’s unifying world/lifestyle/characters. We designed for other labels and distributors, best accommodating their profiles and marketing needs, while producing editorial collections.Driven by a vague impression of the early 2000s scenario that everything began to turn digital yet still implicited a hint of 90s grunge. The fear of future technology collides with the passion of expiring everything and innovate into the future. This contradiction provides endless possibilities for design expression. Design ingenuity with the concept of “urban outdoor”. The designs not only show off styles, but also pursue utilities for performance.
