I'm a passionate Afrocentric educator, privileged to run my own school and have a platform where African children can be nurtured to love themselves, believe in themselves, and know they can do what they put their mind to. I'm excited to be turning the tables and playing a part in lifting Africa. I'm so glad that I quit my job in the UK and came back to my homeland to serve children and effect the change I want to see. I once followed a research orientated and academic career (2004-2016). My areas of interest are Poverty and Education; Education participation and retention; National mentorship movement; Developing citizenship in schools; Teacher improvement; Gender and education; HIV and sexuality education in Africa; Community led curriculum development; Pre-colonial educations; Pre-colonial sexuality culture and education in Kenya.
