My research focuses on applying statistical methodology in human genetics research. I am actively involved in the studies to understand which and how genetic variants influence human disease development by collaborating with researchers and clinicians in Singapore, China, Korea, and Sweden. Specifically, I have been working on the following topics:1. Genome-wide Association Studies (GWAS) of liver cancer, Allergic Rhinitis, and inflammatory bowel disease. 2. Exome array analysis of Crohn's Disease in Koreans3. Developing risk prediction models for breast cancer and psoriasis based on common genetic variation 4. Investigating the genetic basis of neurological disorders with a focus on Parkinson’s disease (PD). 5. Providing statistical data analysis support to my clinician collaborators. Main techniques used include various statistical tests, linear and logistic regressions, ROC analysis.
