Hi! I'm a fourth-year student majoring in International Studies with a minor in Public Policy. I always knew I wanted to study International Studies and adjacent fields since I was in high school. As a child of Ethiopian immigrants, I've always been intrigued by how culture and politics continue to impact my parents' and many others’ experiences in the United States and around the world. By studying at UW-Madison and beyond, I made it my goal to understand the world from as many perspectives as possible. This mission inspired me to enrich my studies with public policy, economics, and Arabic. My purpose, the skills I have acquired at university, and my experiences are woven into my pursuit of journalism, joining The Daily Cardinal in 2024. I am eager to continue journalism post-graduation in May 2025.
